Wolf Castle is back with his latest anthem ‘One In A Billion‘ with the help of Canadian rap veteran Cadence Weapon and Cree pop singer Jessa Sky.

A heartfelt declaration of self-love and resilience, ‘One In a Billion’ is a celebration of our unique position as humans existing on Earth.

“It’s so easy to feel alone, man like… you’re the only person in this world that understands”, says Wolf Castle. “But it’s not true. It’s not.”
“One in a Billion is unassuming and soothing, but its heart is strong and prideful, crafted by three artists whose voices sound made for each other (hint, hint).” – CBC Music
‘One In A Billion’ branches off the idea of how slim the chances are of being born, how unlikely it is at all that we can live, breathe and experience life. This song treats existence as a gift. Wolf Castle urges the listener to embrace that chance and wants to remind the listener of it.

“As indigenous people we are trained by the western world that we do not matter. From day one existing as an indigenous person can feel like an uphill battle. I wanted to write a song that rejected this, and said the words I needed to hear as a child.

“If you’re native, you’re enough.”

Hailing from Pabineau First Nation in Mi’kma’ki (New Brunswick), ‘One is a Billion’ follows Wolf Castle’s 2025 album Waiting For the Dawn, which was one of only two Canadian albums featured on NACC ‘Top Hip Hop Records of 2025.’ Fuelled by Wolf’s signature cerebral, breakneck flow, powerful beats, and hooks that nod to classic R&B and ‘90s hip-hop hits, Waiting for the Dawn is an album about patience, grief and the passage of time.
