Emerging from the rich cultural landscape of their Wabanaki homeland, New Brunswick, The Hello Crows are a powerful Indigenous collective, whose songs and stories are woven with the threads of personal experiences, resilience, and a deep connection to their communities and culture.

The band’s journey began in 2022, when its members (Judie Acquin, Quinn Bonnell, Mattie Comeau and Dylan Ward), each an individual artist in their own right, performed together for the first time at a Wabanaki Songwriter Circle. This chance gathering, which highlighted their poignant storytelling, while combining traditional and contemporary influences, is considered the catalyst for their creative union.

In 2024, they released their debut single, ‘Come Back To Me,’ an anthem for language reclamation and it quickly resonated with listeners for its authenticity and powerful message. That Fall, and all through the winter months that followed, The Hello Crows hunkered down at the Shiftwork Recording in Fredericton to finish their debut album.
