“The 7-piece band tour was an absolute blast – we had amazing receptions and were treated so well everywhere we went. I never knew how much fun it was possible to have in a van. And the bits in between the drives were pretty fun, too: Sold-out festival shows in Germany and Austria, walks around Alpine mountain villages, dipping our toes into the Baltic Sea in the middle of the night, handball games against a former WWII bunker, eating dinner backstage at the Rolling Stone Weekender with Dinosaur Jr. on the table to the left, They Might be Giants to the right, and Suede at the buffet table checking out the wurst, picking up a copy of the German Rolling Stone to find a 4 star review inside.
